Qapture

...captures and ranks the links being shared right now by some of the most interesting folks on Twitter.

Our Firefox plugin will let you stay in the loop on the latest and most popular Qapture links. An icon will appear in the bottom-right corner of your browser after installation. Just click it and a random link will load in a new tab.

You can choose to shuffle through our Newest or Most Popular links. Go to Tools->Add-ons in your Firefox menu to adjust your settings.

Qapture Discovery (v1.0)

Think of Qapture as an "of the moment" aggregator. Inspired by all the chatter about Twitter as a real-time dimension in searching, it's our shot at freeze-framing and sharing the finest links that stream through Twitter, all while keeping up with the flow.

Qapture is an experiment, one that we're constantly updating. Here's how it works:

1. We find people who tweet amazing links
2. We grab those links and categorize them by contributor
3. We share them with you and measure their popularity

As a start, we created categories that fall into the field of digital communications - things like strategy and design. Our plan is to broaden these over time, maybe delving into pop culture, food or humor. Send your category ideas our way: feedback@qapture.net

The individuals we've chosen to follow on Qapture send out a reliably steady stream of smart and/or awesome links. See who they are. In terms of how our curators are ranked, that calculation looks at both their outreach and the popularity of what they tweet. This isn't a closed list by any means...we'll add to it, in part based on your feedback and recommendations: feedback@qapture.net

In terms of ranking tweeted links, we've established two measurement approaches: "Most Retweets" and "Most Clicked." The former looks at which links garner the most RT credits (regardless of who is being retweeted), the latter measures which links get clicked on the most from within Qapture. Have a look at the most popular stuff.
